SDSS OID Registry
X.680 object identifiers are used for such purposes as identifying attribute types and object classes within X.500-based directories such as those accessed over an LDAP interface. The SDSS project has been allocated the following object identifier:
In IETF dotted notation, this is 1.2.826.0.1109.2.0.
SDSS Project OID Allocations
No allocations of object identifiers have yet been made by the SDSS project.
External OID Allocations
If you want to experiment with non-standard attributes within your Shibboleth project, this can be done without assigning X.680 object identifier values to these attribute-types. If you need to access the new attributes over an LDAP interface, however, an object identifier is required. If you do not already have access to a node in the object identifier tree, you can apply to the SDSS project for allocation of one underneath the SDSS project identifier.
