The SDSS Federation is no longer in operation, and metadata for the federation is therefore no longer published.
SDSS Federation Attribute Directory
The attribute requirements for each service provider in the SDSS federation are described in the attribute directory. This also includes notes on how an identity provider can be configured to generate and release appropriate attributes for each service.
SDSS Federation Test Pages
The following pages are for general test use, especially for testing new identity provider deployments:
The first test page requires no attributes and therefore may show the protected page even if the attribute authority of the identity provider being tested is not configured correctly. The others display the user attributes received (and other information) in different forms.
SDSS Internal CA
Certificates for relying parties within the SDSS federation are normally supplied by GlobalSign. Keys for certain development sites are certified by the SDSS internal CA, whose certificate can be downloaded here.

SDSS URN and OID Registries
The SDSS project has been delegated registration authority for the URN namespace urn:mace:ac.uk:sdss.ac.uk. This namespace is used to register URNs for various classes of entity related to the SDSS Federation. A description of the schemes used and the full registry can be found here.
An X.680 object identifier arc has been allocated to the SDSS project. You can find details of the object identifier allocations made within this here.
