Shibboleth 2.0 Discovery Service

I am very pleased to announce the second Shibboleth component release this week; the first technology preview of the Shibboleth 2.0 Discovery Service. The component previously known as the WAYF service.

This new version offers the following enhancements and some new features including:

• Support for multiple metadata providers allowing 'multi-federation'support
• Support for multiple, concurrent, different interfaces (multiple jsp files)
• Based on OpenSAML 2

As this is a technology preview release it is not recommended that users run this in production. This is the code currently running at the Shibboleth Wiki, so many of you will already have seen one view of this service. The production release of this service will come with the Shibboleth 2.0 main release and include a number of additional features.
